    Still a broken with latest version that says its fixed (version 4.3.2).

    AuthName "Authenticated Zone"
    AuthType Basic

    That'll teach me to trust a deskcheck. Problem is I've never used group
    checks myself, so it's more or less a blackhole for practical purposes.

    I'm setting up a test rig to get the problem fixed once and for all.

    No problem. Thanks for checking it out. FYI, I think the same problem
    occurs when using multiple users in .htaccess as well. For Example:

    AuthName "Authenticated Zone"
    AuthType Basic

    require user username1 username2

    I don't know if you want to consider that a separate bug. I just assumed
    they were directly related.
