• Bug#267301: nautilus: won't let me open xsl files w/ gvim

From Andres Salomon@1:229/2 to All on Sat Aug 21 22:40:09 2004
    From: [email protected]

    Package: nautilus
    Version: 2.7.4-1
    Severity: normal
    Tags: experimental

In nautilus, if I double click on an xsl file, I get the following
    warning:

The filename "navlink.xsl" indicates that this file is of type "XSLT stylesheet". The contents of the file indicate that the file is of type "eXtensible Markup Language document". If you open this file, the file
might present a security risk to your system.

My default action for this is to open the file using gvim (which poses absolutely no risk to the security of my system). This warning should
not be coming up. What's even worse is that if I right-click and select
"Open with 'Text Editor'", it spawns gedit just fine.

I can't see a reason for the warning, unless you're loading something
that understands xsl (such as a web browser). Unless the check can be
handled more intelligently, it really shouldn't be there at all.
