• Bug#106631: analysis of problem

From Stuart Anderson@1:229/2 to All on Sat Aug 21 22:10:15 2004

The plugin stuff is only partially implemented. The backend value
obtained from the config file is not used anywhere. Also, the CDB implementation has been built into the library. The plugins are never dlopen()ed anywhere.

One solution would be to add a switch layer (sort of like the Xtrans
layer in the X Window System) that would cause the plugin to be
    loaded, and it's methods used.

Thanks for you analyzis, but I really know what I have to do -- all I need is
a bit more time after other issues are fixed.
