• Bug#258641: Problem identification and solution

From Alwyn Schoeman@1:229/2 to All on Sat Aug 21 14:30:13 2004

    Hi,

The problem happens when the DHCP server fails to specify a lease
    period or specifies
    an infinite one.

When this happens the dhcpcd client assumes that it doesn't need to
    renew and exits.

The user can bypass this behaviour by implicitly specifying a lease
    period when invoking
dhcpcd. The option is: -l lease_period_in_seconds

    Regards,
