• Bug#267224: grub: text video mode screwed if booting fails

From Jaap Haitsma@1:229/2 to All on Sat Aug 21 11:20:10 2004
    From: [email protected]

    Package: grub
    Version: 0.95+cvs20040624-8
    Severity: normal

If I select an item in the grub menu with for example a kernel
which does not exist anymore. I get an error message that the file
does not exist and by hitting a key I can return to the menu.

I normally have a menu with a splashimage, but when I return it's just
simple text mode but it's completely screwed up. I see a very fine
raster and every letter is a random bunch of pixels
