muine ignores ALSA convention of using the "default" device, and instead
uses the first card. (card 0)

This explicitly ignores a user's local .asoundrc. In my case, my default
device is set to my second card.

This is new behavior. I notice the backend is xine. Didn't it used to be gstreamer?
