Hello
I tried the sarge installer yesterday on my computer and the base
install worked correctly and I was asked to reboot. I did this and
during the module loading a error occured and the boot process stopped
and would not continue. I had to do a hard reboot to restart the OC and
on trying to boot debian again The same problems occured.
The kernel was trying to load the bttv module. I can not provide the
full dmesg output but the error message that was left on the screen said
that the bttv module could not be load as the module was missing.
The installer had detect my TV card correctly and it had was loading the correct modules for the correct card.
This error occured with the 2.4 kernel. I was able to install and
complete stage 2 without any problems if I explicitly stated I wanted to
use the 2.6 kernel.
