I installed the package psi_0.9.2-2.0.1_i386.deb found on your site and it looks good! Even if I start PSI without a running notification applet no
small window appears. If then I start the notification applet it appears
with the PSI icon inside. And I can remove and add the Notification applet while PSI is running without any problems.

    Good Work!

    Hi Markus,

you reported this bug about psi a year ago. Can you verify that it is
    still present?
I guess it never was a psi bug, but a bug of the window manager or
similar, so it may have been fixed by some other package upload by now.

    Yours,
    Jan

No this behavior is fixed. Im using Gnome 2.6 with Metacity 2.8.1 and
    PSI 0.9.2 from Debian unstable.

Maybe ... but the PSI-notification-area-applet behavior is stille buggy:

First of all if PSI is started before the Gnome notification-area-applet
is running it opens a small window with the applet in it and don't replace
the applet into the notification-area when I start it ...

Second if I start PSI when the notification-area-applet is already running
it somtimes also opens the small window and don't place the applet into the notification-area. I can fix this by just restarting PSI ...

IMHO this could also be a Bug of the Gnome notification-area-applet. It
could be some kind of "timeing" thing because it apperes "not everytime".

    Sincerely yours, Markus

    Hi!

Today, William Waghorn posted a patch regarding docking behaviour on the
