A monshow segfault is almost certainly a bug in Perl. I haven't been
able to get monshow to fail that way, so I have no way to debug it
further myself.

If you could make a test setup which can be run to reproduce the problem
that would be helpful. Otherwise, we're probably stuck waiting for
somebody else who can do that, or for the problem to go away with an
update to Perl.
