    Method: I booted off the businesscard CD image, installed the
    base system via ethernet cable to my router (auto-detected by
    DHCP). I chose manual package selection, installed nothing with
    aptitude, and used apt-get (HTTP) to install. I was not
    proxied.

    Machine: Dell Inspiron 1000 (recent, low-end Dell laptop)
    Processor: Mobile Intel(R) Celeron(R) CPU 2.20GHz
    Memory: 512MB RAM, 40 GB hard drive, debian gets 10GB
    Root Device: IDE
    Root Size/partition table:
    hda1 bootable primary ext3 / 10GB
    hda5 logical swap 500MB

    incorrectly. If I did not have prior experience with my video
    card, this would have been an issue.

    If you can provide some more information about what went wrong with the
    X configuration and how it could be made better, this report can be
    reassigned to X.
