Package: sysklogd
Version: 1.4.1-10
Severity: normal
In /etc/init.d/sysklogd there are these lines:
# Options for start/restart the daemons
# For remote UDP logging use SYSLOGD="-r"
#
SYSLOGD=""
Shouldn't those be in /etc/default/sysklogd? I keep having to edit the last line.
A similar problem occurs in /etc/cron.*/sysklogd--those logfile rotation scripts are somewhat archaic, and tools like logrotate have nicely solved
that problem years ago.
