• Bug#266636: Support mounting USB-sticks in i386 netboot initrd

    Just did an extra check.

    usbstorage should be usb-storage (2.4) / usb_storage (2.6).

Additionally the module ide-core needs to be included!!!

The modules fat and vfat (also required) are already present on the netboot initrd for both 2.4 and 2.6 kernels.

I seem to be overflowing in people asking for this, but none of them
explain *why* you'd want to do this.

    Package: debian-installer
    Severity: wishlist

I think it would be a good idea to have the option to mount an USB-stick early in the process of an i386 netboot installation.

AFAICT the only thing necessary for that would be to include the modules
    - sd_mod
    - scsi_mod
    - usbstorage
    in the initrd.
