Hi,
I have tried to perform some other tests to try to catch the problem.
For that I first I have tried to compile GnomeMeeting 0.98.5 with
current Sarge versions of all libs.
For that I asked debian-admins to install build-dependencies for GM
0.98.5 in sarge paer.d.o chroot. It compiled fine (well, #266442
arised, but that's unrelated).
After that, I have tried to compile 1.0.2 in Sarge, to make another
check. For that I got available build-dependencies for GM 1.0.2 in
sarge installed, and I set LD_PRELOAD_PATH variable so it got pwlib and
openh323 from my home dir (versions in Sid, which are required for GM
1.0.2). It failed with just the same error than autobuilt packages:

So right now I'm thinking that this can be a problem in openh323, not
in gnomemeeting. But I have not the knowledge to debug that, being it
also more difficult as I don't have any kind of root access to any hppa machine. Anyway, I could try to compile pwlib and openh323 locally, and
use that locally compiled packages to recompile gnomemeeting again.
But this will take some time, and I'm shooting in the dark. any hlp will
be appreciated.
Thanks,
