Please consider applying the attached patch in order to update
synaptic's Brazilian Portuguese (pt_BR) translation. I mean, the program translation, not debconf :-)

I commited the translation to svn and build a new package. But I'm
afraid to upload the package as I really really want it in sarge and
it will reset the testing count :/

I will send it through testing-proposed-updates if you don't mind?

Well, if you can manage to make release managers accept it, that's fine.
I think synaptic 0.52-2 was 100% translated to pt_BR in unstable so this
patch was only to update strings changed between 0.52-2 and 0.53.1-1.

It was a pity that 0.52-2 couldn't migrate to testing before 0.53-series
made it in unstable, because now we have a partially translated version
in sarge. But I know that the various transitions which were (and are,
in fact) happening made it very hard to accomplish.

We are using synaptic as our default package management tool in our
Custom Debian Distribution, Debian-BR-CDD[0]. As this distribution aims
to facilitate Debian use for Brazilian users, it would nice if we could
ship with a 100% translated synaptic in sarge so we don't need to sneak
in synaptic versions from unstable in our CDD. We are aiming to be
completely sarge based and only add some default config to facilite
maintenance for us.
