Hi,

Hello,

when I enter (ê so to say) on my Palm, it becomes something like
a "e with cedilla" under Jpilot. Now, if I try to enter an (ecirc)
under Jpilot, I get the following message:
UTF2Win: UTF character [] absent in CP1250 - dropped
which, as a french speaking person you should know, can't be.
(I've set of course the UTF8 to CP1250 translation as recommended)

My recommandation is wrong. For western europe (Irland for example) you
should use Windows1252 encoding.

In the Jpilot preferences EE is for Estern Europe I think.

Bye,

Hi

I'm French, my Palm is German et my Linux configured Irish
(english, metric system and the Euro sign, "que demande le peuple?"); nevertheless, in dead, changing to 1252 solves my problem.

Thanks, call can be closed!

Eric

PS: interesting, I'm hence using UTF8<->1252 and I tried to enter
Eastern European character (e.g. ź aka ź) and when I press
'Add Record', Jpilot just disappears.
Shall I enter a new bug (it's only of academic interest to me but it might point to something)?
