• Bug#264699: libvdk2-dev: Missing conflict to libvdk1-dev

From Florian Ernst@1:229/2 to All on Fri Aug 13 16:20:09 2004
    From: [email protected]

    severity 264699 serious
    thanks

    http://packages.debian.org/cgi-bin/search_contents.pl?word=%2Fusr%2Flib%2Flibvdk.la&searchmode=searchfiles&case=insensitive&version=unstable&arch=i386

As you apparently want to let this package go into Sarge this is RC,
    please see <http://release.debian.org/sarge_rc_policy.txt>:
    | If two packages cannot be installed together, one must list the other
    | in its "Conflicts:" field.

It would already enter Sarge if it weren't for the tiff transition and
    the buildd backlog...

    Cheers,
    Flo

Thanks. I'll ask ftpmaster to remove libvdk1-* as it's old,
    unmaintained and gtk1/gnome1 code.

    bye,
    Michael

Sounds quite reasonable. May I suggest to reassign this bug to
libvdk1-dev in order to avoid misunderstandings...
(Technically I could do it myself, but I try not to mess with other
maintainers tasks as best as possible.)
