Given that the supplied fax cover is laid out so that the logo overlaps other elements, it might be better to supply another version (perhaps generated from a LaTeX file and latex-cover.

I just uploaded a new version of hylafax (4.2.0) to the experimetal
debian distribution. I will move it to unstable once the libtiff
transition is complete.
In this new package I replaced the faxcover.ps used in 4.1.8 with the PS included in the upstream source. You have a new command that you may use
for "customizing" the provided cover. This command is called
edit-faxcover.sh and is now included in the hylafax-client debian
package.
