• Bug#249525: libhypre-dev: Package calls non-existing MPI function

From Adam C Powell IV@1:229/2 to Erik Schnetter on Thu Aug 12 04:40:10 2004

    Hello,

I've found what I think is the problem, an erroneous flag in a
Makefile.am told mpich that bool is not supported. This has fixed the
    symbol you identified.

Do you want to try this again? I will soon (within an hour) upload
1.6.0-3 which you can also get from http://lyre.mit.edu/~powell/hypre/ .

I'm reporting this as fixed, unless you reopen.

    Thanks for the report!

Does this render it unusable with mpich? If not, then it should be "normal" at worst, maybe even "wishlist"...

Looking into the file libmpich++.a from mpich I cannot see the symbol
that hypre wants to use, I only see the symbol that the mpi standard requires. However, I haven't actually tried. I switched to lam before
    I wanted to try hypre.
