It could probably be handled in the same way xdvi does; maybe you
could even use their wrapper script.
Thanks for the suggestion about xdvi. I'll check that out.
Upstream doesn't intend to fix this, but as we get quite a few requests
for that in Debian I will investigate (and our /usr/bin/xpdf is already
a wrapper script, and we have zxpdf too). However it'll wait until
after sarge now.
