• Bug#261779: Does not detect my video card

    Hi Matt,

What version of discover-data do you have installed? The mapping from 0x53338c01 to XFree86/s3virge is present in the current version.

discover v1 detects this card correctly, but discover v2 does not:

    0000:00:08.0 VGA compatible controller: S3 Inc. ViRGE/MX (rev 06) (prog-if 00 [VGA])
Subsystem: Toshiba America Info Systems ViRGE/MX
Flags: bus master, medium devsel, latency 64
    Memory at f8000000 (32-bit, non-prefetchable) [size=768K]
    Expansion ROM at 00010000 [disabled]

    0000:00:08.0 Class 0300: 5333:8c01 (rev 06)

It uses the s3virge X driver.

It would have very likely been 2.2004.05.03-4 (still current unstable),
judging by the dates and my upgrade habits.
