• Bug#1100145: exult and exult-studio have an undeclared file conflict

From Helmut Grohne@21:1/5 to All on Tue Mar 11 19:20:02 2025
    Package: exult,exult-studio
    Version: 1.10.1-1.1
    Severity: serious
    User: [email protected]
    Usertags: fileconflict

exult and exult-studio fail to install when installed together:

    | Unpacking exult-studio (1.10.1-1.1) ...
    | dpkg: error processing archive /tmp/apt-dpkg-install-gUciDS/161-exult-studio_1.10.1-1.1_amd64.deb (--unpack):
    | trying to overwrite '/usr/share/games/exult/u7misc.data', which is also in package exult (1.10.1-1.1)
    | Errors were encountered while processing:
    | /tmp/apt-dpkg-install-gUciDS/161-exult-studio_1.10.1-1.1_amd64.deb
    | E: Sub-process /usr/bin/dpkg returned an error code (1)

I'm not sure whether they're meant to be coinstallable, but if they are,
they must not ship the same files and if they are not they likely should declare something in their package metadata.

    Helmut
