The update for PCSCD caused a regression with some card readers. This
update corrects that regression. The full advisory is below for completeness.
It was discovered that PCSCD, a daemon to access smart cards, was vulnerable
to a buffer overflow allowing a local attacker to elevate his privileges
to root.
For the stable distribution (lenny), this problem has been fixed in version 1.4.102-1+lenny3.
For the unstable distribution (sid), this problem has been fixed in
version 1.5.4-1.
We recommend that you upgrade your pcsc-lite package.
Upgrade instructions

will fetch the file for you
dpkg -i file.deb
will install the referenced file.
If you are using the apt-get package manager, use the line for
sources.list as given below:
apt-get update
will update the internal database
apt-get upgrade
will install corrected packages
You may use an automated update by adding the resources from the
footer to the proper configuration.
