  • Debian release-notes: call to update translations

    Hi all,

    I would like to ask, if someone would be interested in updating the translations
    for Debian's release-notes for the upcoming Trixie release.

    The git repository is here: https://salsa.debian.org/ddp-team/release-notes/-/tree/master/source/locales?ref_type=heads

    and some statistics: https://ddp-team.pages.debian.net/release-notes/statistics.txt

    If you cannot push your work directly to git, feel free to sent it here
    on this list or to the BTS, or create a merge request on Salsa.

    Just from memory, you could try to simply add the tr directory with its LC_MESSAGES subdir in it, and then call "make update-po LANGS=tr".

    There was an issue in the Makefile with update-po (introduced just yesterday). Now fixed, so the above described way works fine now.

    Thank you for the information. I produced the .po files, forked the project on salsa, and started translating them.

    Is there a deadline for the translations? I guess I'll finish them in a week, but I'd need a few weeks more if I submit them to Debian Turkish Translation mail list and wait for the reviews.

    Ideally the translations are ready, when Trixie gets released.
    But there is no release date announced yet, so no fixed deadline, but a month should be no problem, I guess.
