• Configure autologin for user in SystemSettings

From Roland Hamel@21:1/5 to All on Wed Mar 12 16:20:01 2025
    Hello!

Yesterday I installed Debian Testing with KDE on my Lenovo E16 labtop.
Using daily snapshot of Trixie installer. It was a really smooth affair.

So the most important words first: Thanks to all people involved
bringing KDE 6 to Debian. Well done!

So far I have only noticed one small thing. I have tried to configure
autologin at startup for a user, but there is no way to do it in
SystemSettigs. I'm missing the entry for LoginScreen (sddm) under
Colours & Themes. Maybe a missing kde-config module. But I can't find kde-config-sddm in repo. Do I haveto install something else?

I added /etc/sddm.conf.d/autologin.conf So it is not really a problem.

    Regards, Roland

Thanks! I'm ashamed. Should have found this bugreport by myself.

    Regard, Roland

Yes, kde-config-sddm is currently not in testing.
