  • KDEPIM 24.08: calendar directory resource not working

    Hi!

    There is another issue with KDEPIM 24.08.

    I configured calendar as calendar directory resource cause I felt it would
    be more robust than writing all events to a single file.

    But none of the events show in Korganizer.

    With

    `QT_LOGGING_RULES="*.*=true;qt.*=false" akonadictl restart`

    I see:

    org.kde.pim.akonadiagentbase: Sending dbus reply for method "" with error "Ungültigen Eintrag erhalten"

    "Ungültigen Eintrag erhalten" => received invalid entry

    Odd is that the method is ""

    org.kde.pim.akonadiserver: ItemRetrievalJob for request 295 finished with error: "Unable to retrieve item from resource: Ungültigen Eintrag
    erhalten"

    I even tried removing and re-adding the resource. The calendar directory contains the event files.

    Another package missing? However according to Akonadiconsole akonadi_icaldir_resource_1 is running. But the calender folder in Akonadiconsole is empty as well. However it shows that 5630 objects are supposed to be in there.

    As it says "received invalid entry" maybe some calender ical related
    parsing stuff not installed?

    Default is using the single file calendar resource. Anyone having any
    issues with calendar events not showing up?

    As far as I can see all libkpim6 packages are installed. Also all calendar related libkf6 packages are installed. All Akonadi packages are on 24.08.
    All KDEPIM packages are on 24.08. Korganizer is of course 24.08.

    If anyone has any insight, please share.

    I found that adding a new event works. So there is really something odd
    going on with parsing older events? I just compared briefly, the file of an older event looks very much the same.

    There are different file naming standards over the time, but I do have
    enough newer events whose files follow the same standard as the completely
    new one that works.

    I already wondered whether some missing localization /
    internationalization package causes a parsing failure of an event.

    I think I will need to file an upstream bug report about that if not
    already done.

    Fixed by importing all those calender files from a backup.

    % ls -1 | xargs -n1 konsolekalendar --calendar 446 --import
