• debian-installer-11-netboot-amd64 text installer rotation

From Cian Donovan@21:1/5 to All on Fri May 20 21:40:01 2022
    Hi,

Since the latest version of the debian-installer-11-netboot-amd64 package on Debian Bullseye, the ncurses text installer no longer respects the orientation of the framebuffer console.

Before, if I set the orientation with the kernel parameters video=efifb fbcon=rotate:3, both the console and the ncurses installer would be correctly vertically orientated.

Now, only the console is vertically orientated, which I can see when switching away from the installer, while the installer itself remains in the default orientation.

From the debian-installer-11-netboot-amd64 package I am using bootnetx64.efi, grubx64.efi, linux, and initrd.gz all served using PXEBoot with DNSMasq. This configuration worked until the latest changes in that package.

I would appreciate if you could offer some insight into this issue.

    Kind regards,
    Cian Donovan.
