Wow, I just spent loong hours finding out, why my crypttab's volumes don't get decrypted on boot. After finding this mail (by accident!) and thus installing systemd-cryptsetup all works fine.
Please spare others the same confusuion and just install it. It's not a big deal
to install an extra 500kB on a modern install!
