As discussed in https://salsa.debian.org/gnome-team/evolution-ews/-/merge_requests/4 , have you done the paperwork with the Release Team for stable-proposed-updates
[1]? Without a clearence from the Release Team, the upload to Stable is not really possible.
Besides, I believe https://salsa.debian.org/gnome-team/evolution-ews/-/commit/2086f7219a7470996b5254f13fc302dfc4f1f04c
is not enough. You will have to update debian/changelog for stable update as well.
