After 23 years of marriage and seven children, a transgender
woman is taking a chance on living her truth � however
controversial it might seem.

Stefonknee Wolscht began her transition six years ago at age 46
and now she is living as a 6-year-old girl.

"Stop being trans wasn't something I could do; that's like
telling me to stop being 6-foot-2 or leave,� Wolscht said of her
wife's ultimatum in a clip.

Wolscht is the subject of a social video series called "The
Transgender Project," which profiles transgender people in
Canada.

The documentary works to highlight everything about Wolscht�s
life, including the pain of being rejected by her family.

�I can�t deny I was married,� she said in an interview with
Daily Xtra. �I can�t deny I have children, but I don�t want to
be an adult right now.�

Now Wolscht, who used to hide her true identity by cross-
dressing, is living with a new adoptive family.

"I have a mommy and daddy, an adopted mommy and daddy, who are
totally comfortable with me being a little girl," she said.

Wolscht said she colors and does kid stuff with her new family,
which includes her new 7-year-old sister.
