It's the default shell on FreeBSD. I'll go out on a limb and say
that most people don't change it there.
tcsh has the best command line vi emulation of any of the shells I've
tested (and that includes all the ones mentioned in this thread).
I think that is tcsh's main reason for continued relevance.
