As part of a project to trace the history of SGML, I have been trying to find sample GenCode. I have had no luck. All leads from Google draw a blank including <a href="
https://books.google.co.in/books/about/GCA_Standard_101_1983_Document_Markup_Me.html">
this book</a> titled 'GCA Standard 101-1983, Document Markup Metalanguage: GenCode and the Standard Generalized Markup Language (SGML)' on Google Books which does not have any preview pages. GCA Standard 101-1983 seems to have ISO/TC 97/SC 5/EG CLPT and
ANSI X3J6 as counterparts but I am unable to locate the texts of either standard. The committees on these standards seem to have been later reorganised into ISO TC97/SC18 and X3V1.8 respectively. (<a href="

Does anybody have sample GenCode? I find it interesting because it represents a step in the evolution of markup languages, at the very least in the transition from colons as the tag delimiter in GML to enclosing angle brackets in SGML. I gleaned this
from a mention of GenCode's P tag in a <a href="
https://groups.google.com/forum/#!topic/comp.text.tex/Po6qQJwJoU4">post</a> by David Slocombe. An <a href="

20Metalanguage%22&pg=PA36#v=onepage&q=%22Document%20Markup%20Metalanguage%22&f=false">ad</a> in Computer World mentions sale of copies of GCA Standard 101-1983. Does anyone happen to have only lying around? A few snippets or photos of some GenCode would
be appreciated.
