    This new release of the 'knuth-pdf' contains revised documentation
    for the programs shipped with TeX Live 2024.

    Added is file 'hitex.pdf' for the HiTeX processor.

    This new release of the 'knuth-pdf' package

    * Adds main parts mp and mpost of MetaPost
    * Fixes cosmetics for HiTeX (committed upstream), pdfTeX, MetaPost, Weave, and Twill
    * Uses PDF /PageLabels to match page numbers in bookmarks with ToC
    * Adds an Editor's Note and the list of changed sections on or near the ToC

    [This version is identical with version 2.3, save for the correct README.md.]

    * uses and documents CWEB 4.12
    * documents 'cwebmac.tex 4.12', 'cwebacromac.tex 3.0', and 'pwebmac.tex 5.0'
    * adds footnotes for 'C/TWILL' and 'MP/OST' in 'index.pdf'
    * amends all 'changed' C/WEB prpgrams with an 'Editor's Note' and a list of the changed sections at the beginning
