There's a suggestion that Reader is wired (bomb squad style)
to start a seven-day trial of Pro, if you click the "rotate page"
button (CW or CCW buttons).
To stop the updates, find out what address they are being got from, and
add it to whatever Windows uses as a hosts file as 127.0.0.1, eg
127.0.0.1 get.adobe.com
