    In my own case, I'm using a 2018 Mini bought in January 2019.
    It still runs well, but I'm thinking of an m3pro Mini when
    they hit the Apple refurbished store sometime in mid-2024.

    I'll move the 2018 Mini to "the back table" where it will
    live on, retiring the 2012 Mini that occupies that space now.

    iMac M1 released in 2021. If I get an M3 iMac (or Mini or Studio),
    I won't be worried about "better in 6 months" but I will be set up
    for the next 10 years.

    The current Mac mini uses either the M2 or M2 Pro ARM64 chipset,
    introduced January, 2023.

    Battling claims. If this one is true, then it would likely not be the M3.
    But if it is an M3 I will book it. If an M2 I might look at the higher
    spec'd version "Pro" or whatever tag they add.
