Or just use !RISCOSM with the Open Street maps, they supply. No javascript needed.

I see you didn't use the same syntax.
I was also able to get maps in ProCad with OSMap.

You seem to get the 'mlat' and 'mlon' syntax if you use the 'set marker' feature ("setze Marker auf Karten mitte") - I was obviously playing
    around with it earlier. :-)
I'm not clear how you can return to the marker subsequently, though (the
only other option shown is "Remove marker").

I'm one of the users of !RiscOSM. The big benefit is, you can use it
without the need to be online.

In both cases, !RiscOSM and the above showed website, it is not possible
to search for an adress (with house number and street), is it?

I'm sure, this could work also without the need of Javascript. As I
wrote before, I think most web pages are the problem if things aren't
working. Not the web browser like !NetSurf.

Here in the UK, one usually knows the Post Code, which enables the
street location to be found easily in RiscOSM.

If not, and you have the Nominatim application, you can ask RiscOSM to
search for a street name in Nominatim, and it will return a list of
results - the more details you provide, the less it returns. Does that
    not work where you are?

Thanks for the hint. I wasn't aware about !Nominatim. I had never used

Yes - the database that !Nominatim searches is online - I suspect it
may be rather large to satisfy worldwide searches!

But your initial examples using netzwolf.info also need to be online.

Yes, it relies on the online Nominatim API and the massive database behind
it. It doesn't just have the location of millions of buildings, you can also do queries such as:

    computer shops in berlin
bus stops near unter den linden
    castles in bavaria

    or, in fact:

    burgen in bayern

You can search Nominatim direct by running the application and clicking on
its icon bar icon. Or, if Nominatim has been seen before you run RiscOSM,
then you can type a Nominatim query string (like the above, or simply an address) into the main box of RiscOSM's new map window.

See the link "Opening a map" in RiscOSM's HTML manual for more information.

The next release of Recce will be able to access Nominatim so that users can pick the place they want for a weather forecast without having to open a map
in RiscOSM first. It will also be possible to use Nominatim as a plugin for place selection in your own applications.

(But you'll still need to be online!)
