How do I get Beebit to execute them?

I have Beebit loaded on the Icon bar and have tried dragging the programs onto it, and, although it presents me with a BBC startup screen, nothing happens.

    Ra-Pi running 5.30

For my old BBC programs I use !GraphTask.

Wouldn't you need to load the program from (emulated) tape or disc or
type it in directly, rather than dragging a RISC OS filetyped BASIC file
    onto the emulator icon?

In exactly the same way as you would have on a real BBC Micro. The software probably needs to be on a BBC Micro disc image, which BeebIt can then read.

I have Beebit loaded on the Icon bar and have tried dragging the programs onto it, and, although it presents me with a BBC startup screen, nothing happens.

If the files are on the RISC OS side, you could look at BeebItFS to access them. This assumes that they're not written in a way that ties them to a particular FS.
