From Brian Jordan@21:1/5 to All on Tue Oct 15 19:26:10 2024
Earlier today I had a working PCloud mount on this machine, now I don't.
I managed to delete the mount earlier, for reasons of clumsiness and inattention, and now I can't get it back.

I am able to open the "Mount 'Cloud' server" dialogue but can't remember
the correct Server name nor Directory path. Fortunately I have a record
of my User name and password so I live in hope.

Trying PCloud as the server and '/' (no quotes) leads to a Message from OmniClient 'Not logged on' so clearly something is wrong and I seem to
remember that there is a Europe specific server name I should use and it appears not to be PCloudEU.

Any help would be much appreciated.

I am not owning CloudFS. However inside German Archimedes Freelist group I found the following

    # Mount list saved by OmniClient at 10:17:45 on 18 Mar 2024
    #
    # Protocol, Alias, Flags, Server, Mount path, User ID, Password,
    Authentication
    #
    Cloud,PCloud,/ ,PCloudEU,/ ,user,pw_not_encrypted,

Is perhaps a space between PCLoud and EU missing inside your configuration?

In worst case you can try to access PCloud directly by Web-Interface with
Iris but it is likely that Iris will crash. You can also download your files using the HTTP interface with wget. We used this for RISC OS HTTP download performance tests this year on our annual German user meeting (whlist RISC
OS networking is really fast in conjunction with a local NAS it is disappointing slow on connections to distant servers however. I am still examining as I am not seen an OS reason for this).

Thank you, that was exactly the problem.

I'll look at this whan I have a day or two to spare.

You can also download your files using the HTTP interface with wget.

Just logged onto my account successfully - the details you've posted
(PCloud and /) are exactly the same ones I use. An incorrect
User name and/or password would obviously be the main culprits and cause
the "Not logged on" message which I'm assuming you are getting.

Surprisingly, pCloud works with Iris, albeit a bit slow.

I have on my PCLOUD an automatic Upload dir with more than 4000 jpegs
    from my smartphone inside it

I am browsing with CLFiler inside it and I have the impression as
if CLFiler is working faster than the RISCOS Filer dir in combination
    with PCLOUD ?!

I also have Geminus, which speeds up noticable on my 4k screen
having more than 100 pictures inside a window moving - however
like with Iris I obtain some real hard crashes.

The download speed of the CM4 is compared to my wintel HW poor -
    I don't know why.....

Thomas Milius provided the solution to my problem; the required server
name in my case is PCloud EU.

Probably because I have a system font which renders a hard-space
differently (yes, I use System font for Pluto), I noticed that Thomas'
original post had a hard space between "PCloud" and "EU" and yours doesn't.

I am curious as to which it is/should be. An accidental touch of the ALT
    key?

I expect posterity may be even more interested, as I'm not into clouds
    myself.
