It's Thursday again, but don't be expecting any more poetry. I'm all
poemed out for the time being. But don't worry; there are still free
games.
This week's offerings:
* Out of Line
https://store.epicgames.com/en-US/p/out-of-line-209cbb
A side-scrolling action/adventure game. Help San escape the weird fantasy/post-apocalyptic world that was his home. Is it me or does the protagonist look a lot like Finn from "Adventure Time"? Anyway,
gameplay is fairly standard for the genre; not too difficult and the
game seems as much about telling its story as offering up a challenge
(sort of like "Limbo"). It's not the sort of game I get excited about,
but I'm happy enough to have it in my library.
* The Forest Quartet
https://store.epicgames.com/en-US/p/forest-quartet-5d03e3
A puzzle adventure game, with an interface similar to traditional
point-n-click adventures but more focused on the logic puzzles. E.g.,
looks like "Kings Quest", plays like "The Witness". Slow-paced but
short, it seems well made but I'm not sure it's to my taste. I'm
grabbing it anyway, though.
Two up, two down (I think that's a baseball metaphor?). Look, all I
care is that The Number has increased. Will it increase for you too?
You have seven days to decide.
