• Field of Glory: Medieval

From JAB@21:1/5 to All on Tue Jul 15 08:44:03 2025
Another free one from Slitherine. It's the follow up to Field of Glory
II and is pretty much the same game but covers a later time period. So
if you like turn based games that recreate that miniature wargames
tabletop feel (so yes reading the rules is almost mandatory) then worth
picking up. As with pretty much all their games there's also quite of
lot of DLC but the base game has more than enough content to keep you
    going.

Poor ant; apparently nobody reads his posts. Despite the fact that ant already told us about these freebies*, we're all doing it again just
to claim credit off of his hard work. First rms reposted the freebie
for "Fantasy General II", then I ignored the fact that he'd already
announced "Caribbean Crashers" to repost it myself, now JAB is doing
the same with "Fields of Glory II".

Still, ant is the only one to have announced "Battlestar Galactic
Deadlock" is free... so far. ;-)

I could have sworn it was Field of Glory II, oh well.

Looks like something I would have jumped on years ago JAB, but I don't
think I have the energy for games like this any more! I was a big fan
of the Avalon Hill wargames in my yout :-)

It's fairly easy to get into (isn't everything compared to Advanced
Squad Leader) especially if you go for smaller battles. It's one of the
reasons I like it, you aren't overloaded with units.

Doesn't seem like something I'd like, but cheers.
