    I played... one of the Killing Floors (I think it was the first). It
    was mostly intended, I think, as a co-op shooter. I couldn't really
    see the appeal.

    I loved the first game and played the campaign through over and over,
    mostly solo, finally achieving the coveted Chicken Suit. For me it was on
    the same level with Left 4 Dead, which I also played obsessively. But KF2
    just felt wrong to me, as I recall it was very dark, with a lot of graphical spam, and I dropped it immediately. I don't see myself playing KF3, but I wouldn't mind trying a demo, if only for nostalgia

    Well, I read it, but really, I'm generally not interested in a bunch of random games that just happen to (maybe) be coming out shortly.  Unless there's something particularly interesting about them, I'd rather see a "What's new last month" list once they have some reviews.

    I don't like to say it but myself as well. If it's about a genre that
    appeals to me then I do watch the odd one video in the background. A
    bunch of random games with text, not so much.

    Sorry Spalls!

    -------------------

    * Cats Away (July 10)
    https://store.steampowered.com/app/3389020/Cats_Away/
    Cat-pirates on the high seas. They call it a real-time
    strategy game but it looks more action than strategy.
    Ehn.

    * Clutchtime (July 24) https://store.steampowered.com/app/2995450/Clutchtime_Basketball_Deckbuilder/
    A deck-building game with a basketball theme. I'm not
    sure I could be less interested in a game.

    I'm sure you can be swayed less :)

    [snip]
    * Monument Valley 3 (July 22) https://store.steampowered.com/app/3132930/Monument_Valley_3/
    The third game in the "Monument Valley" platformer/puzzlers;
    turn and twist the screen to manipulate perspective so you
    can get past obstacles
    [snip]

    Wait, they made another one??? I absolutely adored the original 2 (i
    think they were one of the few mobile games i actually paid for), so
    this is actually huge :D

    Well, I hear what you're all saying and I can't say I'm disappointed.
    My intent was to (hopefully) spur discussion about new games, but if
    it wasn't something people were interested in reading, then
    discussions weren't going to follow anyway. Like I said, it took a lot
    of work to get all that infomation together, and --being naturally
    lazy-- I'm happy to let this particular thread fade away.

    Don't worry; I'm sure I'll think up another topic you won't have
    interest in reading soon enough. ;-)

    There are a couple of YT channels I subscribe to that I do sometimes
    watch their up-and-coming videos but they are focused on CRPG's and strategy/wargame. Genres I'm interested in and for the latter in
    particular games I might completely miss otherwise.
