It's a remaster so I immediately dislike it, but it's
also System Shock 2, so I must buy and play it. This
dichotomy of opinions may cause cerebral hemorrhage.

I can't see myself being interested in any of them except this one.

I never played the original SS1 but loved SS2 when it come out. I
clearly remember many SS1 fans being disappointed by the sequel. I
played through it so many times over the years. I think Deus-Ex and
SS2 are my most replayed games from that era.

I played the SS1 remaster recently thanks to Spalls but I still like
SS2 more. I get what you are saying here. SS2 is one of my most
replayed games as well. But from what I understand, this remaster does
not do very much that you can't do yourself with mods. My SS2 is
    already modded. Heavily.

I played both SS2 and Deus-Ex as I had heard good things about them and
you could get them on, I think, the White Label budget release. Not
quite sure why but neither of them grabbed me (Deus-Ex in particular).
Possibly it was a combination that my expectations levels were too high
and I didn't really put the effort in to understand how to play them 'properly'.

Was this the same thing you would get for free if you backed the SS1
remake? So would be a freebie for me and I kinda want to play it. I had
a recentish play-through of patched up SS2 but it was a little
unsatisfying, I set the difficulty one notch down from default but it
was too low. Should've left it at default to have the same-ish
    experience as way back when.

I'm not a huge fan of SS2, I think I finished it once originally, then
tried a couple of more times as a hacker and a PSI guy but lost interest
    both times.

NEW GAMES FOR PC TO BE RELEASED IN JUNE 2025

I decided to put my money (where time=money) where my mouth is since I
said I'd rather see what's been out a month and look through these
    again.  Steam %s of positive.

    * The Alters (June 13)
    https://store.steampowered.com/app/1601570/The_Alters/
Looks like a third-person cross between Subnautica and
X-Com, except with a lot of cloning and not set in the
         ocean. Looks interesting.

88%. $35. It looks really cool.  I'm not into base building or survival though.  Very tempting.  Added to my wishlist.

Why am I getting a "Mickey 17" vibe from that?

    [snip]

    * Kity Builder (June 17)
    https://store.steampowered.com/app/1622310/Kity_Builder/
Retro-graphic'd Stardew valley clone with a more
urban theme... and cats. Maybe appealing to some, but
    not to me.

100%! $8. Well only 20 people reviewed it, so most likely all the devs
and their friends and family. Doesn't look like something I'd like so
    not touching it.

I liked Stardew, but the 20 reviews do not inspire confidence...

    * MindsEye (June 10)
    https://store.steampowered.com/app/3265250/MindsEye/
    A third-person action-adventure set in some near-
future cityscape. They boast about "best-in-class
cinematics", which seems something of a warning sign
if that's the biggest thing they've got to offer.

37% lowest so far. $50. Seems to be laggy and buggy with no attempt at fixing it.

Yeah, so it turns out that this game might be the next Cyberpunk 2077
from the sheer bugginess of it.

    [snip]
Man that was a lot of work. Doesn't seem worth it considering how the
month was mostly a bust with one game, The Alters, that would be of
interest for fans of survival and base building.

Well, its not every week a home run comes out.
