If someone wants any of these, just ask! I think they all redeem on GoG
rms
What still annoys me about them is why not put all the games in theI assume it is because nobody uses the Amazon Prime Gaming client. You
Prime client instead of making you have to go to a separate website to
get the code. I get that they have to be installed under GoG or Epic but
surely it can't be that had to show their availability all in one place.
can't harvest information about people if there's no information to
harvest. Even if they did, the client itself is fairly lackluster too; there's no forums, no chat, no friends.
Sure Amazon/could/ add all these features, but that's expensive (a
lot of them would then put them on the hook for moderating stuff too,
which is even more expensive). Worse, the client itself isn't a
revenue generator; you can't BUY games directly on the client.
So it's better to just outsource it to third-parties (possibly getting
GOG and Epic and whomever to pay you for the privilege of driving
traffic towards them), get them to deal with all the expense
(including hosting costs), and then have them send the valuable user
data back to you.
Amazon gets to look generous without actually spending any money.
That's a GOG restriction, and not necessarily a bad thing. They COULD streamline it, but then you'd have to give Amazon access to your GOG
account so they could automatically log in as you and add the game to
your account. It's what Amazon does with Epic games (and maybe Steam?
I forget. There are so few free Steam games on Amazon).
Arguably, Galaxy - the GOG client - should have a way to claim the
serial number you get from Amazon so you don't have to open the
web-browser and go to GOG.com to add the game to your library.
I am confused as to which client you mean: Amazon's or GOGs? Perhaps I
am misunderstanding your complaint?
In any event, the Amazon client can't show you GOG games because GOG
isn't allowing Amazon to directly link accounts, likely for privacy
reasons.

It's the Amazon client, so my complaint is that in the same way that the Amazon games website allows you to claim a GoG game by giving you a code
I'd like that also implemented in the Amazon client. I don't see why
that requires any linking of accounts.

Oh, I see what you mean now. Yeah, the Amazon client is pretty
lackluster. The only time I ever use it is if I actually want to download/play the Amazon games. Whenever claiming the titles, though,
I go directly through the website (https://gaming.amzon.com ). Not
only does it lack linking, often entire games offered for free on the
website just don't show up at all when using the client.
But, again, this doesn't really surprise me. Unlike pretty much every
other client on the market, the Amazon client doesn't have a
storefront. That means there's no way for you to actually BUY anything
from Amazon using it. Thus, its development is very low on their
priorities; it's a cost-center, not a revenue generator. At least if
you go to the Prime Gaming website, you're only one click away from Amazon.com and spending more money.
