Two deckbuilders in one Bundle? Jesus Christ...
Apparently. Slay the spire is very popular. I found it just barely
tolerable, and not enough to play more than a couple hours total.
I don't get why all the mobile games with all the MTX is so popular
either.
because people are stupid, and kids today never played any good games
since they're older than them.
MTX laden games is all they know, and they need to be glued to their
phone 24/365.

I think it's more because people just want to play a short and sweet
game endlessly, and don't want to pay money to try one. So, mobile games exploit that to spam ads and make the most shallow addicting games
possible to make endless money.
Just my guess tho.
i used to use mobile emulators
Personally I like them as time fillers and my general approach is too
many ad's and it will get uninstalled straight away. The next point for
when it's reached uninstall time is when I get to a soft paywall that to progress further requires money to spent and more importantly continues
to be spent.
Overall I don't think people are stupid* but instead it's more to do
with it's just not clear to them that they are having psychologically
warfare directed at them by people who perfected the art of what works
to keep to playing and paying. A simple one is why have an in-game
currency, it's not for our convince but instead it provides a further
level of disconnect between real money and what you're actually
spending. Then there's offering something that could be considered 'good
value' due to the really low price. The purpose of that, to break that
barrier that this is a game you're willing to pay for. So spend 99p, why
not £3 and then all of a sudden it's £10. By the time you realise what's going on it's easy to have spent more than it would cost to buy a
several trip-A releases.
*Not that some aren't as there's was a noticeable number of players on
the World of Tanks forum that would spend their time ranting about how
awful the game and company where yet a new premium tank comes along and
it's wallet open time.
