Hi.

I got a Acorn A3010 with RiscOS 3.10 and wanted it to be updated to RiscOS 3.11.

I bought the Classic RiscOS Roms Package but i only got a full 2MB ROM File for 3.11 suitable for Elumators.

I have a EPROM Burner (TL866CS with Adaptor for 27c800 EPROMS) but could only burn the EPROMS in Steps of 512k.
I tried to split the bought ROM Files but the ROMS did not work in my A3010.

So i am trying here if anyone can spare those 4 Files to burn on the EPROMS.

Maybe someone already had burned himself a pair of ROMS so that would be great.

Are you splitting them with the low 16 bits of each 32 bit word in one ROM, and the
upper 16 bits in the other? That's how the bus is set up. (one of the ROMs
is the high bits, the other is the low bits)

I've heard of A3010 ROMs being swapped into A4s, so if the ROMs work in a virtual A5000 then I would have expected something to work in an A3010.

Although there wasn't a lot of difference between 3.10 and 3.11 - you could just softload a few modules?

I've never tried burning roms but did notice a thread on stardot about
"burning RiscOS roms for the RPC which I don't pretend to understand and
near the end moves onto splitting the rom image of 3.11 for burning which
may be of help as the post 3rd from the bottom of this page:
