The F18a is unlikely to be made as there has been an effort on a newer version that ran into a snag with patents on the HDMI interface.

Myself, I would have loved to have had the MK2 version as I was waiting on one myself and been in limbo over a year. Within the past couple of weeks, Eric Firestone did a demo on the 99/5C that has 9938 capabilities with 1 MB AMS memory, and a compatible IDE interface. It uses a VGA monitor along with a USB mouse/keyboard to interface to a new board emulating a TI system.
I've got one ordered and should be getting it within the next couple of weeks. In some discussions with the developer, this device has a number of other capabilities that look very promising as well.

Pardon my ignorance, but what is this MK2 version you mention?
Also, any idea if the original F18a source files would be released if he's no longer going to make them?
I got a Coleco ADAM that I really want VGA support. :-)
