    Huuuge potential.

    Usb stack on a ][?
    8 bit acellerator card?
    I2c card on a][?
    devevelopment card?
    cross platform pollination? Atari,c=, atmos,nes,sega game gear,BBC,...

Can you [or someone else (emulator devs)doing all the dev
work]imagine emulating a gamegear gfx and sound chips on the
    rp2040 and interfacing it with a ][ ?
Its like the pc gfx/soundcard market...plug in a matrox for 2d
    cad work,
plug in such and such 3d card for this game, plug in a voodoo
3/4/5 for that amiga gfx-like experience (on the pc).

A whole new world of gfx/sfx cards for the ][?
But I hear you say its pointless ! without a single std how
would we have a framework for 8 bit memory map/gfx/snd interface?
and one will use an app for the c64 chips some use the
gamegear/snes/etc chipset, it will be a mess! Some devs would
support one over the other, requiring this card or that, why
spend $200 on one gfx card to play one game?

One card, all these windows/ppc/arm emulators have source to
    emulate these chips.
Once the source is compiled for the rp2040 arm chip, and the
gfx/sound chip is allocated a range of memory [rom driver/window]
    ,
All the developer has to do, is include the binary file of the
gfx/snd card as a file on disk, with the game/app upload it to
this rpi type card sitting in the slot upon running the
    app.
The game/app will support 256 colours? It will with the gfx chip
    its written for.
No major development is needed, appart from stiching it into the
]['s memory map, as all the 8 bit systems in existance already
have their gfx chips in x86/ppc/arm code...
A non fpga yet configurable runtime type gfx card. No fussy fpga
sourcecode needed, source from existing emulators can be used and
    cross polinated!
You dont even need to develop this on a real ][! You can hookup
this card to a pc and do it :D
    schmokin!

NB I realise im a little bit simplistic on some points, only to
bring forward the big points, where there is real
    potential.
