  • Unisys MCP announcement makes it to technology website

    I cannot recall the last time that Unisys MCP announcements made it in
    this way. Mind you, the same goes for IBM etc.

    Are MCP apps still largely COBOL/ALGOL with a DMSII database?

    Hello Bill, I recall ACOB to be a 2200 compiler, not MCP.

    Hello Bill, all fine. These are all very old memories.

    While cleaning up my basement last week I tossed away lots of old computer equipment and recognized that there was still the console PC from my 2200 system. I did not keep it.

    What I still have and intend to keep is a "Sperry Univac 90/30" maintenance panel from one of the last 90/30 systems I worked with. I'll put it on to a door in the basement, though would expect that my kids will toss it away when I've left the green side
    of the lawn.
