Thanks for the replies. Done a bit more digging and it seems that the
256meg will work in a U60, but are seen as 128 meg, which makes sense.
Posted in the sun rescue digest mailing list, which says the same, but wondering what the differences are between the U60 and U80, where the
256 meg are supported. The machine here is a T1405, a telco equivalent
of the U60, while the U80 telco is a T1405. I'm pretty sure I have a
T1405 somewhere in store, so will pull that out and check it out.
Meanwhile, have the T1405 setup with a sas controller, HP msa50 sas
enclosure. 5 x 900Gb drives setup as a zfs array and rsync'd
around 2.4Tb from the lab server to the T1405. Still checking, but
seems to be error free, so yet another example of how FreeBSD Sparc
just rocks...
