Family members have been pretty satisfied Apple product users for years.
Of late, we'd been entertaining the notion of selling our crop of aging
iPads and iMacs and upgrading to some of the recently announced stuff.
Maybe replacing some iMacs with Mac Minis.
But shoot, most of the base "entry level" iMac and Mini model specs are anemic. And the cost of going from, say, a useless 126 GB SSD to a
barely usable 256 is $200. Too much Apple Tax. Hell, i can buy a 500 GB
SSD for $50 at retail! Installing enough memory is about the same situation.
And the new iPhones and iPads offer little more than upgraded eye candy
and gimmicks- all at too high prices.
Come on Tim, get on the stick. Until then, I guess we'll just ride with
what we have...
Ditto. The default MacBooks' SSD sizes are still too small and expensive
to upgrade to. :(
