  • Who here had an IBM PS/2 PC?

From Ant@21:1/5 to All on Thu Jan 13 00:46:02 2022
    XPost: comp.sys.ibm.ps2

    Hello? Is anyone there? ;)

My colony and I used a borrowed office's heavy and huge model P70
portable (386, monochrome, etc.), and an owned model 30 286 10 Mhz back
then. Both ran IBM DOS v4 and Windows 3.0 IIRC.

Thank you for reading and hopefully answering. ;)

Slammy new week as expected. Lots of spams again! 2022 isn't any better and different so far. :(
Note: A fixed width font (Courier, Monospace, etc.) is required to see this signature correctly.

My, what is this "PS/2" you speak of? Is that from... Sony?

    Are you... trolling... us?

Could be. I remember seeing someone going by Ant on the Time Warner Cable forums, might be the same person, might not. But to answer the original question, just about everyone you see on this newsgroup (excepting the spammers and trolls) has (or had)
one (or more) IBM PS/2 machine types at some point. I've divested all of my once large collection, I kept a couple of Microchannel RS/6000s but no PS/2s.

    Ah yes, Microchannel...

Where would our PS/2 Microreactors be without it!

Too bad it didn't get popular.

So as to help you formulate deeper questions, please go to the Ardent
Tool and immerse yourself in the blue waters of Micro Channel...
warning, it isn't a kiddie pool, but the Marianas Trench....

    https://ardent-tool.com/

I gave away four P70s to Dennis, hadn't powered them up in a couple years.
